One of the most important things to know about drug and
alcohol treatment for teens is that it will be geared toward the intended age
group. Treatment centers are aware that teens and adults are in very different
places, both intellectually and emotionally. They are not the same, so why
should they be given the same treatment? In order for the program to be
effective, it has to connect with the person directly.
