Body image is a large issue in this country. Unfortunately,
the unrealistic photo shopped pictures of models and celebrities that people
see set up a nearly impossible standard. Teenagers are especially susceptible
to these body image issues, which is why eating disorders are so common in this
country. Teenagers with eating disorders can be very good at hiding their
problem, so it is important to keep an eye out for the symptoms, especially if
your child suffers from low self esteem. Teen eating disorder treatment is
often necessary to reach a full recovery.

Adolescent Internet Addiction Treatment
Internet Addiction is a Behavioral Addiction, characterized
by compulsive use of the internet to a severe degree in which several other
aspects’ of the adolescents’ live suffer because of it. Whereas for most people in the United States,
the internet has become a daily tool ingrained into daily life, for addicted
adolescents, it is an alternative world that they have sought refuge in, in an
effort to withdraw from and avoid their real lives. As an effect of this profuse use of the
internet- which can include video gaming, chat rooms, and/or pornographic web
sites- adolescents’ cause difficulty in other aspects of their lives, including
school work, responsibilities and commitments, and relationships. Adolescent Internet Addiction Treatment involves supporting teens to decrease their
internet use to healthy amounts, regain control over the compulsive urges to
use the internet, and address underlying stressors and conflicts in the teens’
lives which has led them to their addiction.

and undergo treatment for a Mental Illness or Disorder, we understand that it
is also a very difficult time for the parents as well. In the specific case of

factors at play that bring about an array of questions and concerns, not the

therapy sessions. This page provides

Why are Drug Rehabs Successful?
You may know a drug addict who has tried unsuccessfully time
and time again to stop abusing drugs, but always end up failing. As somebody
who is not addicted to drugs, it may seem ridiculous to you that they are not
able to overcome this awful habit, but beating an addiction, especially one as
severe as drugs, is incredibly difficult to do on your own. Your loved one
actually has a much greater chance of success at kicking their addiction if
they seek professional help through a treatment facility. Why are drug rehabs
successful? There are many factors, including:
·
Therapy and counseling sessions (both individual
and group) that focus on the physical as well as the mental aspects of
overcoming addiction.
·
Addicts are unable to find a replacement drug in
a rehab center.
·
They learn to take responsibility for their own
actions, and learn to overcome their addiction on their own with the support of
an expertly trained staff as well as their family and friends.
·
Relocating the addict to a new environment for a
short period of time will do wonders to help them kick their drug addiction
habits.
·
One of the main reasons treatment facilities are
so successful is that addicts have absolutely no access to drugs while staying
in the center. They cannot relapse.
Encourage your loved one to seek out the professional help a
treatment facility can offer them. They may wonder “why are drug rehabs
successful?” and you can provide them with the above list.
